We are delighted to announce that Dr Markus Hellenbrand from our group won this year’s Armourers and Brasiers postdoc award for outstanding contributions to research, teaching, and outreach. Congratulations for this prestigious award for truly outstanding work in all three of these areas!
The Armourers & Brasiers’ Company is a 700-year-old livery company in the City of London. Its primary charitable purpose is to support education and research in Materials Science, from primary school to post-doctoral level. The Armourers & Brasiers’ Company have funded this prestigious prize as a way to recognise the research excellence, outreach, and teaching activities of postdoctoral researchers in the Department of Materials Science & Metallurgy in Cambridge.
